| | The Regents are very cool... my Triumph is older, uncut and sounds fantastic, but I'd love to play a Regent and see if there is any tonal difference I can hear. |

| | Here's another 1951 Epiphone "Triumph Regent" Carved Jazz guitar, EXTRA FINE w/Dearmond P/U | eBay
With all the talk on this board about handcarved acoustic archtops from Eastman and various luthiers; I just cannot emphasisze enough how much I like my Triumph Regent. Loud, chunky, wonderful mids, and excellent playability. An all carved spruce and maple, brazilian rosewood board, 17" cutaway archtop for 2500. I just cannot see how anyone can do better on anything old or new. |

Mine are uncut but I'd love to play w a Regent and see if I can hear the difference.
Here's the Broadway, although I probably play the Triumph more often. My only issue w these is the size... my shoulder might be happier if I found a nice 16' L50 w a neck I like, but there's still nothing NEW that can begin to compare with the quality and value of a nice vintage instrument IMhO. |

I like the Regent too but I tend to like the non cutaways better. Unfortunately, I sold all my Epis and I really regret it. I didn't know what I really had until it was gone. |
