Default Some seasonal photos (Gibson content)

Here are some outdoor shots taken today of my favorite Gibson girls. Just a little acoustic archtop porn/GAS inspiration for you guys. Featuring 16", 17", and 18" flavors, there's something for everyone. Happy autumn!

(1947 Super 400, 1947 L-5N, 1934 L-5 Historic Reissue)

This is downright immoral pornography. Parading all that around in the outside. Shameful. I'm GASing already.

Wow! So awesome. That restored 1100 is fabulous. I have one waiting to be installed on my blonde L-5 once I procure a neck rod. Ah, but I do love a sunburst in the Fall!

Oh my! I don't know about my looks, but I can tell you that the RI sounds and plays better than I could ever demo it. Especially that "improv" video which sounds rather flat. It's really warm, throaty, and full of natural overtones.

And I am so sorry I spoiled your savings efforts, Jabber! You know they still have that '35 with the repaired crack. Looks really nice. But I have a soft spot for exquisitely refinished old guitars. They can be had for thousands less, are still just as old and full of character, and show how stunning they once might have looked. Love it.

I'm still offering the L-12. Nobody expressed interest here, so shortly I'll be getting in touch with archtop.com to consign it. Door is still open for a private sale.

Thanks for the nice comments! The archtops do match the fall colors rather well.

This broke my heart: GIBSON SUPER 400 (1935) - Elderly Instruments .

Someone routed in a humbucker and control knobs into this beautiful old girl in a misguided effort to "modernize" it.

I'll never be the same again.

OK, that's it. I'm going to do sunburst finish on my current archtop project. I have plenty of time to practice while I'm waiting for my BG pup to be made.

Nice boxes there.

BTW, here's an audio file of all three guitars (192k AAC, about 7Mb). I just threw it together, and there's a couple of weird digital audio glitches, which is irksome. But it is certainly better than the audio on Youtube.

Let me know if you can play it.
