Default Mono Case M80 on 17 Archtops

Anyone knows if they fit? They seem much easier to carry than a Reunion Blues...

I am talking about this model (the dreadnought)

I have an 8 string resonator in a Mono M80. Can't recall the lower bout width, I'll check it tomorrow.

I have a Mono M80. My full size archtops (17 1/4") will NOT fit in it. They're late 40's Epiphone, long-scale and the case/bag is too tight and a bit short for them. I bought it for 16" guitars and it fits them well... I like it. The bigger guitars go in a Levy's.

I have a 40' Epi Deluxe that WON'T fit in the MONO dreadnought case. It was close (I got it zippered) but it looked like a bad idea. However I would be surprised if a Guild wouldn't fit. I'm guessing any L5 sized guitar would fit fine. Epis are just a little bit bigger on the lower bout. Baby got back!!!

I really wish the Mono fitted - it seems the perfect gig bag... anyone else tried?

This one also seems good - asked about measuremens and I am waiting for a reply!

I really wished my tuba would fit inside one, but I guess it's for 16" guitars...

Anyone tried one of these?

Gator Cases is the manufacturer of musical instrument and audio visual cases - Jumbo Acoustic Guitar Lightweight Case (GL-JUMBO)

Same weight as a Reunion Blues, seems to protect the guitar a lot and its 110€ cheaper... I have several Gator Bags for other purposes and love them all.

I have an M80 that I use for a Guild x-170 which is a 16 inch bout guitar. It is a snug, perfect fit. I just tried a 17 inch bout thinline semi-hollow and it would NOT fit. So M80 dreadnought is not the way to go for anything larger than 16 inch bout.

Bob that's exactly what I needed to know! Thank you so much - you avoided me buying a wrong product. I will get a Mono Semi-Hollow for my 335 and my Ovation and a Blues Continental for my X-500 and my Brazilian Acoustic.

Don't know why but the Gator doesn't seem so sturdy... and my Guild X-500 is really something I love and need good protection and I do need to carry it on a gig bag unfortunately.

Update: Got the RB Continental. My Guild X-500 fits in there but it's still a tight fit... this guitar is HUGE! But the guitar does fit and the bag is great - very sturdy, you can kick the bag and nothing happens to the guitar. It's also fairly light, perfect to carry valuable guitars like my Guild to classes, reharsals, gigs... It's a little tall on the back but nothing relevant for me.

My hardcase and regular gig bag are useless now... I will buy also a Mono for my 335, I can report then.
