Default ibanez gb-10 or gb-100?

Hey guys,
I was wondering what's the difference between the following george benson ibanez signature models:
1) gb-10
2) gb-100

Are they essentially the same guitar? and I also heard about the rare 1990-1991 gb-12. A friend of mine is selling his for $2000.
If you guys had a choice, what would you buy out of the 3 guitars I mentioned? and does the gb-100 have a larger sound than the gb-10?

Thanks,
Chris

Ibanez has made a handful of Benson models over the years most variations on the GB10. They have made some big body versions starting with the GB20 back around '79. They just released a new large body Benson model this year the LGB300. The LGB300 has the large body, wider neck, inset pickups, and appears to have a wood tailpiece. So bigger body should have a different sound. Depending on how you define 'larger' sound.

The GB-100 is similar to a GB-10, but a deeper body and a maple lam top vs spruce lam top. So maple should be a brighter sound.

I would say all the small body Benson's are probably pretty close in sound, the GB-12 with maple might be one with most difference. They all depend on how you string and set them up then factor in your playing style.

I have a GB-20 and love it.

My GB-10 (1980 or 81) has an enormously big sound. It's got maybe a bit more "thwack" than a 16" or 17" archtop with a 3" thick body, but frankly when plugged in 99% of the audience can't tell the difference between an L-5 and a Tele.
