Default A. Ray Fuller tone

Hello everybody,

My name is Pete, I'm new to the board and I can see that there is quite some knowledge and wisdom around here.

I am enamored with the tone of A. Ray Fuller, "the weeper", and for the life of me I can't even get close. I love the woody, nasal, mid-range heavy, and still very warm tone, slightly crunchy at times. You can hear a a few songs here: The Official A. Ray Fuller Music Page | Gratis muziek, tourneedata, foto's, video's

I play a 335-like Ibanez into a couple of amps or - for most gigs in fact - with a POD XT modelling a Tweed Bassman into the house PA.

Anybody with great ears and experience would like to share some ideas on how to get close?

Thanks a lot.

Pete
