Default Roland Micro Cube... Wow!

I picked one of these up today, long needing a decent portable amp for all the traveling around I do with my job. It was a little pricy I thought, but when I got it home and really put it through its paces with my ES-175, I was blown away how big and full of a sound it has for such a tiny little thing. Almost sounds bigger than my Raven home amp with the 12" speaker.
Best part is how clean and balanced it sounds, even cranked. It never breaks up and has a nice smooth tone. Really, when people kept raving about this amp, I at first thought they were exaggerating.
I might just use this at home too.

A little pricey? $100? They're nice little amps. I have one for my "bench" amp.

$130 plus tax, and I'm used to Crates and Fender Mustangs where you get full-sized feature-laden amps for around $100.

I've had two of the Micro Cubes.

Really nice amp - the modeled amps sound good, it's quiet enough to use in an apartment, it records well, and picking an amp model is easier than on a Mustang - at least easier than the last Mustang I tried where the amp model wouldn't stay selected. And I can use the Micro Cube in a performance situation by either mic'ing it or running the output to the PA through a direct box.
