idk the difference between the two, but I have the AC15C1 and it gets a grand jazz tone. it's a great amp.

I believe the CC1 has a Vox speaker versus a Celestian greenback in the C1. Take a look at your local CL, I see ac15c1 for sale all the time some priced under $400 which always disappear quick. I have an ac4, its sounds phenomenal but its a Vox so it starts breaking up early.

cool thank you guys! Then I doubt I will be able to get a vox anytime soon if it sells out quickly haha. I am waiting for my test scores, so if I did good on my tests then I will treat myself with the amp haha. Really? vox amps break quick???

No, break up...distort. All tube amps do it, some sooner on the way up with volume than others...Rock players of course covet this tone, it's not always desirable for jazz--but there's plenty of exceptions.

Vox amps have a "semi-clean" sound that's all their own. It's not one I personally particularly like for jazz, but it's a great sound.

Fender Hot Rod Deluxe
Peavey Classic 30
Roland Cube

or for strictly a jazz amp

used polytone, henriksen, or roland.

More ideas -

$200 less than the ac15, try a Fender Mustang III.

$200 more, a used Deluxe Reverb.

it really depends what you want the amp for. if it's just for jazz, that's one thing, but if you play other styles then you have to consider that too.
