| | sure, here's the run-down... - 17x2.. 25 years old
- autumn burst
- lots of crazing in the poly.
- big "D" shaped neck with great action
- strung with flat 11s
- really nice balanced tone through the humbucker

| I've never heard of a custom luthier who finishes their guitars with poly. Are you sure it's poly? |

| | I knew him a little as he did repair work for me 40 years ago or so. I thought his main interest was violins and had no idea about his archtops. Of course, 40 years ago I had zero interest in archtops
IIRC, he lived in a small, wood frame house on the east side of Fort Worth and his shop was a detached building in his backyard. I thought him a very nice, old gentleman at the time.
I have the impression he passed on some time ago but I can't point to a source. Sorry I can't be of more help. |

Sorry I can't be of more help. | i had a feeling someone here would know of him. thanks for the intel 4thstuning. i had also heard he did a lot of violin work as well. i was really hoping that i would find he was still making guitars, because i like this one so well, and would love a 3 incher |

| | I bought my youngblood on ebay for $500.00 I didnt catch it the first time around when it had a floating pickup...that buyer added the hardware and a bigby tailpiece. Took it off and put the Heritage tailpiece on took the fake truss rod cover off as well...truss rod adjustment is under the r pickup...the body is plain the neck has birdeye maple ebony fretboard....I love this guitar sounds great plays great...

I definitely paid more for mine. |

| | Funny I searched for someone else that would have another youngblood...for about 4 years...every once in awhile putting out the word on a jazz newsgroup...found you....very little to say....life is funny...I love this guitar I wish I had yet another one...I've since lost his phone number ....wonder if he's still alive....I have about 50+ guitars...this is one of the best electrically sounding guitars I own.....some features of
it I dont like but cant get past how good it plays and sounds |

| | been playing for the last 40 years...I use my Youngblood as my main jazz axe...the other on I use is an Epi/elitist byrdland....feels about the same a more of a finished guitar...I still that home grown feel of the Youngblood...
I play at least once twice a week...Jazz gig maybe once a month....I rehearse with a jazz trio once a week.... |
