Default benedetto b-6

Hi all.I am thinking to put a benedetto B-6 pickup in my ibanez pm35.
I dont know much of electronics, but ibanez custom 58 pickup has 2 wires, while beneddeto has 3.
Is that swap possible?

It looks like the 3 wire (plus ground) alows you do do a coil tap if you want to add another switch. You should be able to contact the manufacturer to find out which of the wires to use if you don't want the split coil sound or replace your volume pot with one that has a push/pull SPDT switch so you can get two different sounds from one PU.

The B-6 does have coil tap, which actually sounds pretty good in the "single coil" mode. It probably wouldn't bee too much to have a guitar tech swap the pickup and install a push pull tone pot to allow the coil tap capability.

Cheers,
Steve

I am very happy with the one I put in my Eastman 805. It gives me consistent response across all the strings and nice clear tones.
