| | The Filtatron is a very cool and fun app but very confusing unless you are an experienced synthesist or want to take a lot of time to learn its quirks. Even my son, who is an engineering student and keyboardist and digital composer, couldn't figure it out at first blush.
Plus, the lack of a simple mini keyboard input is a downer. Nevertheless, a lot of fun and the price can't be beat. (Keith Emerson and Rick Wakeman and Tomita were my idols in the 70's--the idea of getting a "Moog" for 99 cents is a dream come true!)
The Animoog looks better--will it accept a usb-type keyboard input? If so, even though my keyboard skills are extremely limited, I will have to give it a try. |

| | Ok I downloaded the Animoog. It is very cool and a lot of fun. I am quickly learning a lot of the ins and outs of synthesizer programming. Contrary to what I posted before, it does have an innovative keyboard-type controller in a separate window. You can also use a midi keyboard as a controller.
For 1 dollar, this can't be beat. I don't have a definite use for it in mind such as performance or recording, but it is very fun to play around with. |

Actually, here's a youtube demo of it: MELLOTRONICS M3000 HD - 3 minute guide - YouTube | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
