Default Ibanez AS-73 Semi hollow

I just bought an Ibanez AS-73 Semi hollow for $230. It looks like a nice guitar to me but I wanted the opinion of Jazz guitarists.

Is this a pretty good guitar? How much is it worth?

That's a fair price for a used one. If there's nothing wrong with it, you should be able to sell it and get your money back if need be. That's always my definition of a good deal.

When I was looking for a semi hollow years ago, I had decided to look for a used AS80 or AS50, but Ibanez had just anounced the AS73, so I picked one up from the first batch shipped to the US. I've had no regrets. it's a well built guitar that plays and sounds great for jazz and most everything else.

Good deal. Ebay has a bunch ranging $250-$375. Artcores in general are decent. I found an artstar as80 for $150 in a pawn shop and it cleaned up to be quite nice instrument.

Congrats on the new guitar and enjoy it.

That's a good buy!Hopefully you got a case with it since they don't come with one new. It's great value if you are looking for a well made 335 copy.I had one that I traded in for a AG75 (I wanted a hollow body). I did change the neck pup to a jason Lollar CC and I also had the frets polished, action adjusted etc for fret buzz.
I think the advantage of buying used sometimes is that somebody has already got the problems ironed out.
I don't ever want to buy another instrument that I haven't seen and played!

Keep it. If anything, get some new pickups, but that's a fine guitar.

I got mine with a case back in 2006 for $405 from musicians friend. It's a great instrument for the money you pay.

I had one for a few months about 10 years ago. I didn't bond with it, but there was nothing wrong with it...appeared to be a solidly built, good sounding guitar. Enjoy it.

Very well made guitar and good sound even without any modifications. For sure one of the best guitars in that price range and also good choice for begining playing jazz.

After I swapped the pickups and found the right tailpiece height, I fell in love with mine

I have one that I picked up a few years back. Think I paid around 300 for it. A whole lot of guitar for not too much money. If the one you got is in decent shape, you got a good deal.
