Traded in my Ibanez AS73 for an AG75 last week.Love the smaller body (easier on my shoulders) and hollowbody sound. Took the Lollar CC pick up off the AS73 before I traded it in and am thinking of replacing the neck pup on the Ag75 with it. Any thoughts? Could it make feedback issues worse?
Also,any other upgrades worth considering?
Thanks.
I had a AG75 and replaced the neck pup with a gibson classic 57 and got a sweet fat tone, you can checkout my myspace to hear what it sounded like (all the recordings there were done with that guitar)
For the price of a Classic 57 I would check Bare Knuckles, Lolar, Fralin, etc... I put a Classic 57 once in my archtop and later put a Bare Knuckles and the difference is HUGE. And it only costed 30€ more.
Done Deal! The Lollar CC neck pup which was on the AS73 is now on the AG75. Takes the tone to a whole different level. The clarity and sustain are awesome and I like this combination a lot. It's a keeper!
Thanks again for the responses.
