Default Epiphone Anniversary Casino!

Has anyone seen one of these yet? My local GC has the trap tail version in stock. What an amazing piece from Epiphone. The body is made in the Epi Qindao plant then filled up with Gibson USA guts.
The 16 fret neck and the upgrade pickups make this sound more like a 125 than those raspy things they call Casinos you generally see.
The finish is nice and thin and they are super light!
$799 with case.

I'm not in the market right now, but these deserve a look if you are.

Hello Hello--

Was wondering about the "raspy" Casinos! What about them makes you prefer the Anniversary?

The 16 fret neck, I think, plays a role but I'd wager the Gibson pickups have something to do with that, too.

It's lively, but very full sounding, where the standard ones are just lively.

Hello Hello--

Ahh... so the neck is mounted into the body differently on the Standard.
That could make a difference in the inherent tone of that guitar!

Do you think the Standard Casinos are inherently brighter [or thinner] sounding ??
