Default Heritage Eagle Classic- Custom Thinline Archtop for Sale

Selling this gorgeous 1992 Heritage Eagle Thinline. Handmade in the original Gibson factory in Kalamazoo, MI.

Exceptional player with tone for days! My small mitts just aren't taking to the 25.5" scale so I've decided to let her go.

Price is $2600 shipped and PP'd. USA only.

Specs:

Year: 1992
25 -1/2" scale
20 fret bound ebony board
5 piece curly maple neck (Neck carve is medium 'D' shape)
17" body width with custom 2.25" rim depth
20-1/4" body length
Solid carved, white bound spruce top
Curly maple white bound back and rim
Schaller pups

There is one small ding on the top near the rim (above pup switch) that was hard to photograph. There are some small nicks/scratches beneath the tailpiece which occurred during shipping but they are only viewable from an angle as you can see from the pics below.

Here's a vid of JZucker tearin' it up:

Aaron,

You are killing me..... you know that don't you..... I mean you REALLY are.

But I just don't have the funds. But this is the last Heritage (really last of any guitar I can think of) that I have MAJOR GAS for....

This guitar is similar to a Gibson L5-CT. Heritage makes the H550 which is similar to the ES 350.

I saw your post on Los Angeles craigslist. Mar Vista, right? I'm in Mar Vista too, but I fear I already have my eyes set on a Gibson ES-165 over at Westwood Music. That Heritage sure is a beautiful guitar, though.

Ha, I've played that 165 lol. Good luck with your purchase!

(Check out the Soco Deluxe why you're there. It's awesome!)

How did you like it? I know that tastes are subjective, but I'm a REALLY new player and I'm wondering what a more experienced player thought. Any other guitars around town you think are worth going to see for $2000ish?

It was OK. The old Heritage 575 I had blew it out of the water tone wise but like you said, tone is very subjective.

I can come down a bit on the price of the Eagle for a local/cash sale. Let me know if you change your mind.

If I was presented with that choice, I'd grab the Heritage... hands down, no doubt, and in a heartbeat.

+1

Play them both if you can, then choose.

No relation with Mr Jazzpunk....too many kilometers, haha...but let me say that if I was presented the choice, I probably wouldn't even consider the 165 and would go for the Heritage.

As others have stated, play them both, then decide....

I was going to say that jazzpunk is a really nice guy. Looks like the guitar is sold. Are you buying something new?

Nah, I hear he's a real ahole!

Money's going in the bank for now though I'm considering a custom order from Heritage. As this guitar sounded fantastic, I'm thinking pretty much the same thing but with a 25" scale. Maybe a 16" body and 2.5" thick but still pondering that one.

With each guitar, I get a little bit closer to finding the 'one'. I have to say this one was damn close!
