Default Godin Nylon issue

I recently purchased a Godin Nylon SA ( not the ACS model ) and have really enjoyed playing it but have a problem with sympathetic overtone ringing of the lower strings. It's related mainly to the low E and A strings. So for example playing an E at the 5th on the B string will ring at that frequency on the low E as will just playing the open E of this note. Has anyone had this issue with these guitars? Any ideas on resolving this? Anyone with the ACS model ( non hollow body ) that has had this issue? ( I suspect not but am curious on other's experience with this ) Thanks

I have a Godin Multiac ACS-SA

Just tried what your talking about, tried it unamplified. Yes my guitar does it too. Both the E and the A string will ring out the note.

Tried it on my Takamine acoustic, same thing happened.

Tried it on an unamplified Fender Stratocaster. same thing happened.

I stopped there, I'm betting everyone of my guitars will do it.

Yes, even without trying it I thought "sympathetic vibration." At McCabes Guitar shop in California, they run some concerts. Before they do, they have to damp all the guitars on display or the sympathetic vibrations can be quite audible and interfere with the shows.

It's the very nature of guitars. You have to mute the strings you don't want to sound, with whichever hand is comfortable.

Yeah I know about sympathetic vibration and have other guitars, all acoustic in nature, where this will be present but only to a very minor degree. It occurred to me this morning that the action may be a bit too low and the vibration may be pinging off a harmonic. I'll try adjusting the action and see if this helps. Thanks for the responses.
