Default Godin Kingpin II and New Orleans Jazz..

Hi, I was busy with other things and have been neglecting my instruments, but was recently inspired by an event where I got to hear some great music.

I originally bought Godin Kingpin II for its versatility, (compared to the original) and currently have flats on it.

The music that I'd like to focus on right now is Early swing usually played for Lindy Hop dancers, (I'm one of them, thus..) anywhere from dixieland to small combo swing of 30s.

This video is one example, which is from the event that inspired me again;

I usually see acoustic archtops, gypsy guitars, and sometimes resonator guitars in bands that do this kind of music, and I was wondering if I could possibly get close to such sound with Godin Kingpin II, and if there's certain kind of strings that would work well for it. I'm guessing flats are not the best choice..

And in the case it gets amplified, what could be the best way to blend in? Would there be certain kinds of amps/settings that work well?

Or... is it a misfit? should I just get an acoustic?

I'd really appreciate your input,
