Go to D'angelico.com. excellent site-should answer all questions.

All new models designed by Bill Comins, who alledgedly sets them up.

Tops are spruce laminate-finish impeccable. Seconds are available at a steal at store in Red Bank, NJ (Nevada Exchange) They ship all over the world. Prices include a nice case.

I bought the 18 inch with floating Kent Armstrong pick-up. For the money-it's great. Electric tone fine;accoustic...

If you spot one on e-bay with a Philly address...it's them trying to unload older models. Good luck.

Keep on pluckin!

Just out of interest, as you have the semi-hollow, are you considering the Sadowsky hollow-bodies?

Hi Guys, My first post. I owned a 17" wine colored New Yorker D'Angelico II and I presently own an 18" blond New Yorker D'Angelico II both made by Mr. Triggs. I believe he made a total of 5 DA replicas. I have a photo in transit of another sold in Europe. The other two are in hiding. I owned two San Salvadore models that were beautiful for the money but they do not compare to the replicas. Patrick2 spoke of Mr. Triggs asking $50,000 to make more. I haven't seen that book yet. But it must have been something big like that to break up the relationship between Mr. Triggs and the D'Angelico owner. To bad for both parties and for us. P.S. Oldan That's one great Stromberg rep!!!!

Marcis, try Alan Cramp at this site:

The justjazzguitars Collection

I bought my Vestax D'Angelico from him and it's a very nice instrument. (#047 half-way down the page here)

The justjazzguitars Collection

As you will see, he will ship to Europe and indeed pretty much anywhere. Nice guy, though as I recall, I still owe him a transcription of my version of "Georgia".....
