It looks like something out of the Hofner factory by the headstock and the inlays. It's cool looking.

Default German Schlaggitarre...

This looks like a german "Schlaggitarre". Stefan Lob runs a Website where you can find a lot of Information about those Guitars. It's in German so YMMV.
But you could write to info@schlaggitarren.de. I'm sure he can help to identify the Lady. )

Edit: Forgot the Link: www.schlaggitarren.de

Yup, PROBABLY a Hofner made, they are cool in an old 50's retro way.

Headstock and inlays look like a Hoyer.

It looks German, but I've never seen a Hofner with f-holes like that at all. The headstock shape is also unlike Hofner. Could be Hoyer, but those f-holes are pretty unique. Living in Europe, I've discovered there's a big history of archtop guitars here, with many different (often small) makers.

I'd also suggest sending an email to the schlaggitarre site. Another source is the European guitars forum (euroguitars.co.uk). There are some very knowledgeable folks on that forum who've researched different models. If you posted an inquiry there with some photos, you'd likely get some good responses.

Great. Thanks everyone for your helpful information. I'll do some research and send emails to those contacts that you have suggested.

Slovenia?? I honestly didn't know they made production guitars there. I also would like to know how it sounds. Can you tell if it's fully carved or if it's a laminate? I have to say again it's a really cool looking guitar.

Hey, sorry for late reply.

Yeah I didn't know that this guitar was made in my own country Slovenia This Melodia guitar was made by Melodia Mengeš company. Melodia Mengeš has been building instruments since 1946, but I think their guitars have never been high-quality products. Also this guitar isn't top-level. Guitar is laminate, it sounds well, but it's rough and playability/action is poor (strings on fretboard are too high). Maybe guitar could be renovated and optimized, but I think this Lady will just adorn my wall.
