Default finished it today!

I built this with weight in mind, came in under 5lbs. At first I was convinced I wouldn't like it as much as my past builds, but the more time I spent working on it the more I liked it. Or maybe it's just that I like walnut so much...hmmm...Here's a couple images, hope you like it!

Very nice. That's really a strong piece. I love the color.

Thanks, I like the color too. I think the cool thing about walnut and cherry is that they change color with age. This one is still a bit light since it's so freshly milled. It's just got wax on it, no stain. I documented the build, I can almost watch it darken the first two days after it was milled and being tooled. It's pretty wild to see.

Unfortunately I had to displace my local writing spider to make this panel,She wasn't hurt, I hope she comes back, she has two egg sacks ready to pop. I sprayed her web with spray paint and draped a sanded panel across the web, then I added a poly coating to seal it. I might make this the back panel of the LED Logo Walnut studio stand that I hope to send to SEGAS with Blackfoot.
