Hi Bill, we get them through the US so fingers crossed the above statement is true for us as well.

We can never really exactly know the price until we get shipping and duty costs, annoyingly these usually come a week after we've got the goods so guestimation has to come into play. The joys of importing into the UK!

That's what we have requested... Although I must admit, I really like the sound of it up close to the neck too.

Even though am leaning to the AR503CE side of things, I feel pup's sound better the closer they are to the neck.

Really looking forward to seeing and playing the AR371CE. I love the El Rey 1 I got last year. If the quality is comparable, and I have no reason to doubt it will be, this might be a Christmas present to myself.

I just experience a sort of deja vu from your picture! I used to own an El Rey 2 and a Fender Jazzmaster Ultralight. And is that a Fender Bandmaster? I have a Bandmaster I just converted into a 2x10 combo. I no longer own the El Rey or the Jazzmaster Ultralight, but miss both. Especially the Jazzmaster Ultralight for some reason. Coincidentally, I met the designer of the El Rey (Otto D'Ambrosio). I found out he was not too far from me (Providence) and he did a setup and replaced the ut on my El Rey a while back.

I might be imagining things, but I found the 175 to sound more acoustic than the 503.

The amp is a 1965 Tremolux with JBL 10" speakers. She is quite, smooth, and sweet. Blackface Tremolux's use tube rectifiers while Bandmasters have solid state rectifiers, so there is a difference in feel and response between the two.

So, can anyone recommend the best place to order an Eastman online for shipping here in the states? Only have access to one Eastman dealer in town, and don't care much for that shop.

This AR371 is looking real nice.......

Guitars n' Jazz....100%. I've purchased 2 Eastman archtops from them and they have been of the highest quality. Lou Del Rosso is the owner of GnJ and you'll want to talk to him. He knows his stuff and he can help you out.

Tell him that Peter Andreev sent you if you call him...I've told him that I would be sending people his way. He'll take great care of you guaranteed.

OK thanks, I am going to wait and see how the reviews come in for it, but think I may be leaning towards one later this summer!

Thanks, it was very good. Action was medium-low, neck adjusted perfectly with just a tiny bit of relief, frets well dressed, but one or two could use a bit of leveling. The bridge needed one string slot refiled, but was otherwise perfect.
The workmanship and finish are what really knock me out for the price ($680 street price)
