I don't expect the guitar to compete with a full acoustic guitar for volume.

Yes I have a new Carvin AC375 and would like to correct you on a couple points. It is neither routed hollow, nor neck-thru. It is in fact a true hollow body acoustic guitar with solid mahogany back and sides and a solid Engelman Spruce top, with all the usual X bracing, SET NECK and other interior features that true acoustic guitars have. As far as volume you are correct, acoustically don't expect the volume you would get from a full sized acoustic, but plug it in and it is quite simply AWESOME. The sound is stunning and the action is quite simply the best I've ever had on an acoustic guitar... bare none!
