| | Really nice looking guitar. And perfect for playing Fleetwood Mac instrumentals.
OK, I can't help myself here.
"Do you get wafers with it?"

| | I know Asians can be real quaint with English language brand names ("Lovely Jewelry Store" etc), but they may want to rethink that name, perhaps. "yeah, I need a good strap to hang this Albatross on my neck".
marketing aside, that is a huge, strange looking pick guard. I'd be curious how it compares to the Sadowsky semi. |

| | Just got this in a few days ago. Really sweet guitar. Well balanced and great jazz and fusion tones. I'm hoping to get a demo up this weekend. |

| | That was a great demo, it seems the playing was infectiously filled with joy, and there was was some "bite" to those lines. Thanks for posting that, here!
I would also like to hear that guitar as clean as possible, too. There is something to beautiful jazz lines played clean on a semi, with some nice sustain to them, as opposed to the usual notes that decay right away. |

| | Great demo... I didn't want to hear you stop playing!
Thanks for the response. When I'm looking for a semi I'll give them a try.
Would you say it compares well with the Sadowsky Semi-hollow and the Soloway Gosling Hollow Body? |

Would you say it compares well with the Sadowsky Semi-hollow and the Soloway Gosling Hollow Body? | It's got a little more organic quality than those guitars and is more mellow than the soloway. I really liked the soloway but the combination of the alder and/or ash and the maple neck made it a little too spanky for my tastes. The sadowsky is a great tweener guitar but doesn't quite get as "nasty" for fusiony, chickin' pickin' types of things. |

| | Hi Jack,
On your other demo video, what stompbox did you use for that wet signal? I like the way it fattens up the sound.
Are you keeping the 77 Guitars Albatross? |

| | tweener means a cross between a jazz axe and a rock axe. Most semis are tweeners. |

| | I'll repeat Kris's question -
Jack, what is your favorite guitar . . . or is that an impossible question to answer?
Thanks for the demos - equipment and playing. |

Thanks for the demos - equipment and playing. | My 2 favorites are my Ibanez PM120 (pat metheny) and GB10 (George Benson). Those are the ones I've kept over the rest. The Albatross is close to being a keeper but I'm going to try their spruce top 335 style guitar first...I really need some type of semi for fusion and loud jazz playing... | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
