Default Peerless pickups - any good ?

I've got two peerless guitars. I love the quality of both but am curious how the pickups compare to the better PAF's out there. I'm considering replacing mine with Dimarizio 36th Anniversary PAF's which seem to be highly regarded and not that expensive. Pickups don't lend themselves well to A/B testing so hopefully some of you how know electronics well have judged the stock pickups. The guitar I'm considering the wap on is a Gigmaster.

Well I dont own a Peerless, but I know they use Epiphone pickups and I haven't been a fan of any of the Epi pups Ive had. I cant comment on Dimarzio, but I do love Duncan 59's....HUGE improvement.

peerless pick ups are not bad....but if you find better quality that is OK.

Thanks All. I've seen many recommendations for Duncan '59s (as well as antiquities, lovers). They're definitely priced reasonably. I did see a PAF shootout article but it's not easy discerning from their descriptions which ones would be best for me.
