| | I have one. They are great guitars. I'm selling this if you're interested. It leans more towards the jazz side. |

| | I tried a PRS SE Custom Semi-Hollow in a store about a year ago. Made in S. Korea. Very nice looking and playing guitar for under $700. Pretty bright sounding for a guitar with dual humbuckers. I'd be interested too, but I'd have one concern. I think they come with 9's (strings). I don't know if the combination bridge/stoptailpiece could accomodate 11's (my standard) without intonation issues. (This may or may not be a problem - I don't know.)
Jack, that's a good deal on your Eastman, but I'm standing pat for now! |

| | I played one with the idea of buying and found it to be so similar to my Ibanez AFS75 that there was no reason to look further into it. Similar tones, playability was great. |

| | the prs works fine with .011s. I don't get the Ibanez AFS75 reference. It's nothing like the ibanez. Totally different diesign and tone. The PRS is more of a true semi-holllow getting rock and blues tones with a hint of openness from the hollow body. |

| | I went to GC today and tried out a PRS SE Semi hollow custom and I must say that I really liked it the sustain was grate, weight perfect it had 9's on it and still had some depth to it with 11's should be fine ...
I can always mod it with locking tuners and something like tone pro wraparound adjustible bridge ..
The pickups did not sound bad in the store but, if needed I have a Seymour Duncan 59 and a custom 5 at home .
They only had the sunburst one with moods inlays, zebra pickups that I can pickup for $550,00 out the door with a coupon.(not sure)?
I'm kind of diggin the one on there web site. PRS Guitars | SE Custom Semi-Hollow |

| | why would you need to put locking tuners on it? I hate locking tuners personally. The spertzel design always feels klunky and after a while you have to crank them tighter and tighter to get them to hold. I like the stock prs tuners on the SE just fine. Also, the bridge is fine with .011s on it. Quote:

| | I love my PRS SE Semi-hollow I recently bought a PRS SE Semi-Hollow and I love it. I had been toying with the purchase of a couple of other guitars but I heard a lot of good things about the PRS. I bought mine in Austin and the price was around $650. It has a very nice tone and the quality is very good. I absolutely love the neck. It's a little bit wider than a standard guitar but it's very easy to chord and it's smooth as silk. I would however strongly recommend that you change strings. I think it comes with 9's and they're way too delicate.
It's the blond figured maple top with a mahogany body and neck. It has the crescent moon markers. I didn't want the model with the bird markers. I was fortunate to find a model that didn't have them. I think most of the semi-hollows today have the birds.

| | I have had one for a couple of years now (Natural top with moons) and, like most people have said, it is a great playing guitar. I have 11's on mine and no problems but I always like to experiment so have installed Tone Pros locking studs and may go the next step with an intonable bridge such as the Tone Pros Wrap or Pigtail etc in the future but that's just me the actual stock bridge works well and even with 11's haven't had intonation problems. I have installed Wolfetone Marshallhead pickups with the Alnico II mod and they sound good but may change out for something else to experiment with, Dimarzio 36th Ann or something. But even as a stock guitar it is a great deal and even the gigbag that it comes with is really good too.
