Default Feedback issues

Hey guys,
First post WOO!!
So ive been having issues running my Gretsch G100CE into a Fender Reverb deluxe when its barely even on three. Im fine when in comping freddie green style and solos but once i hold a chord for longer than two or three beats i get that nasty feedback. even with the volume rolled back it still feeds back. How do i deal with this issue?

do a search. There is already a discussion on this topic. Short end of it is:

Tape the f holes
Stuff with Cotton
Try dougs plugs.

Where you sit in relationship to your amp also matters.

Palm muting (lots) and an equalizer to lower the offending frequencies.
+1 on the mention for location

Tape your f-holes with high density foam is a beggining to fix your issue and a cheap solution.
