Default archtop on a budget ($1000+)

I am in the market for an archtop still. Have been considering the Eastman 805/810. But would like to broaden my search a bit. I have looked for guilds but the full size archtops are a bit pricey (over 1500) so are most of the heritage guitars I have looked at. If my range is 1000-1400ish and I have time to wait and look for a nice guitar, what would be some brands to sort through that wouldn't be incredibly out of my price range. I plan to find one on ebay for a good price so used or vintage gear is encouraged. I don't really care for the look of thinlines or semi-hollows, I would prefer a more traditional jazz box.

HERITAGE H-575 GUITAR IN ANTIQUE NATURAL | eBay

this is kind of an interesting find, not sure how much it would cost to get that work done or if that makes it not worth the price.

in that bracket they are all probably going to be asian made so there are many to choose from, you could probably get a nice piece for 500$, i just got an eastman, had a korean gretsch and also own a classical new pro which blows away my ex gf's alhambra. so in short im not opposed to mia instruments, side note my 2 ukes are also from the far east.

check out peerless, hofner contemp series, d'angelly exel, find something that you'll feel comfortable playing rather than stretching that 1000 on a name. im considering a washburn and its far below 5 bills, too many choices, not enough fingers

I've checked out a few of those names. Waiting to see how high the bids go up on a guild I'm watching on ebay. It is not so much the name, but finding a guitar from a company I can trust. Unfortunately, I do not have many options where I live to try out some quality archtops.

A Guild archtop would be an excellent choice. And you can definitely find a used Heritage H575 on eBay for under $1400. I did. It's great.
