Default baritone archtop guitars?

Dear all,

My name is Sebastian, I am a jazz guitar player from Cologne, Germany and currently doing my bachelor's degree at the Rotterdam Conservatoire.

I have a question for you all since I gather from all the information on this forum that there are quite some experts on archtop guitars around.

A couple of weeks ago, I decided to engage in the project of buying a baritone archtop guitar to my collection. I played one at a master class and was very happy with the extra bottom end it could give me in a smaller duo or solo setting. Unfortunately, none of the production instrument companies seem to offer a hollowbody archtop baritone guitar.

Thus, do you have any recommendations for me?

I know for a fact that a few luthiers out there would definitely build something like that for me. I have talked to Henning Doderer in Germany, Frans Elferink in Amsterdam and Gary Zimnicki in the states. I have played guitars both by Henning and Frans and was deeply impressed, but does anybody of you guys own a Zimnicki archtop guitar or do you know any website that has one or a few reviews of this man's work?

Thank you all very much in advance!

Sebastian

check out Soloway Guitars - Home . They make a 27" scale hollowbody that could be tuned down to A.
