Default Are they out there???

Im looking for a thinline, doublecut, full hollow, humbucker equipped guitar. Basically an Epiphone Casino but with buckers...or a full hollow 335/Sheraton...you get the idea. Doesn't necessarily have to be a 335 shape, but I dont want it any thicker than that.

So far the ONLY one I have found in my search that is exactly what I want is the Peerless Renaissance.

So to my question, are there any more of these guitars out there? Id like to think I have more options... Id also like to say that money is no issue, but yeah, cheaper is better right now .

Xaviere XV 950. Fully hollow except for a support trestle under the bridge. Comes with humbucker sized Filtertron clones. $289 US. Alas, its a single Florentine cutaway. The Surf Green looks like Southern California jazz.

Is that not the same model?

Edit: Just checked again and it says its just under the bridge and tailpiece...I guess that works? Still sounds hollow?

Try looking for an ES-330. It looks just like a 335 but it has a tailpiece and is fully hollow. You may have to look in vintage stores but I don't know how much they cost. It is an option. BTW, it has chrome covered P90's.

What about the Heritage H530. I'm pretty sure they'll build you one with HB's.

You didn't mention your budget. Sadowsky has nice hollow thinline guitar that is definitely worth checking out.

Hofner: Verithin (original vintage version...), T2 (f-holes...) or T4 (no f-holes...), Nightingale (or N35...).
All hollowbody humbuckers...

What about buying a Casino and swapping out the pickups?

Lots of really good suggestions everyone, but still not quite what I'm looking for. Like I said, the cheaper the better, perhaps I should clarify a bit and say I don't really want to spend more than $1000, but for the right guitar I might go up to $1500.

I also don't want anything custom, for the simple fact that if its not "the one" then I'm probably out a lot of money.

Both the Heritage and Sadowsky would have to be an expensive custom build. The Hofner verythin looks interesting...but then that's an old model and would likely be hard to find.

As for swapping out the pups in a casino, I thought of that (that was actually my original intention). The thing is with the setup it has Id basically be limited to either a hum canceling p90, and I think Fralin makes the only one that would fit....or the dog-eared mini humbucker from Seymour Duncan. I would like to have more options/versatility than that.

Right now it seems to be down to the Peerless or the Eastman....

Not yet but the pictures of it are sure pretty. I would have but I just got a new-old-stock 2000 Samick JZ 123 off Ebay and that is keeping me musically occupied for now. Also a single Florentine but a semi built on a monoframe.

Hello,
Forgive me if this is not applicable, but Dave's Guitar in WI (very reputable and no $$ interest on my part) has a used Hofner Veri-thin for sale at present. Can't say if it is the "vintage" version, but it is less costly than a Casino and comes with humbuckers standard.

Hofner Verythin Standard '09 - Dave's Guitar Shop

Good hunting & fare well, db

Good evening, dogboy...
Certainly a nice guitar, but I'm afraid it doesn't fit the 'spec' asked for by OP. It's a 'Contempory' model, 2009, and is a semi-hollow, not fully hollow as are the vintage and Nightingale models.
Nice try, and thanks for posting (on behalf of OP...).

If you're that particular about it being hollow, double cutaway AND humbuckers, just replace the pickups with the humbucker of your choice. Easier than removing a center block or retrofitting a cutaway where there wasn't one.

The Ibanez Metheny has a little teeny cutaway on the top on the original model, but not the newer, under $1000 model. An ES175 is hollow, but only one cutaway.
