I had an AK95 and went to a Gibson '57 Classic. Worked great.

Hey gingerjazz, that track I recorded and asked for input on was recorded
on an Af75 with a seymour Duncan jazz pickup in the neck position.
My teenager used to have it in his les Paul and was too mellow for him.
I am happy with the sound it gives. Might not have enough of that mellow
mids, but it sure sounds better than the stock pu in my opinionty

Last weekend I finally pulled the EPI Joe Pass out of its case where it was sitting for months and pulled the Vintage Vibe HCC's out and put a set of Duncan Phat Cats in. Kept the three year old TI flats. Immediate Grant
Green.

for the grant green thing (not wes), look for a p90, or a humbucker sized p90.
Bare Knuckle p/ups do a great one. dimarzio do one called a bluesbucker, whick is great too......
