Default K&K Pure archtop

I installed a K&K Pure achtop transducer set on my The Loar LH-600 yesterday.
Instalation went fine. The proces is explaned in a booklet that came with the set as well as all required materials.

First impression is that is sounds very good.
I plugged it into my 5 Watt Fender Champion 600 and though this probably isn't the ideal amp for this use, it sounded pretty nice. Pretty much the same characteristics as the guitar's acoustic sound. At higher volumes I got a bit to much low in the tone, but with a proper amp and equalizing I guess you can get a very good acoustic sound with this set.

I like the fact that it is totaly invisible on the guitar (2 trancducers are glued to the inside of the top) , it requires no drilling extra holes in the guitar and that it's cheap.

I was looking for a system that gave me some extra volume when playing with the band. and this set can give me just that.

I guess for recording or performing on stage micing the guitar with a decent condensator mic is still your best option, and I guess you will not likely start glueing stuff on a 40's gibson, but for this guitar it's a nice extra.

Today I recorded a bit with the K&K signal going directly into my laptop.
No effects:

Man, that's nice. Love the tone and the playing -- especially the playing.

I have a couple of Loars (The), the 600 and a 700. Your 600 sounds more like my 700!!! May I ask what strings you use on your 600? Brand and gauge?

Thanks! (Great sounds, post more.)
