Default Nice ER-1 on eBay

Nice looking ER-1 fairly priced. Auction ends tomorrow.

2008 Eastman ER1 With Original Case - eBay (item 260690977196 end time Nov-13-10 13:09:26 PST)

Usual disclaimers: not my auction, not my guitar, don't know the seller.

Eastman El Reys are great sounding and playing guitars. The only real negative of the guitar is that it is neck heavy, although this can be corrected with a slight modification by Jeff Hale. Here is the link to the thread with the info... http://www.jazzguitar.be/forum/guita...html#post69678

For those who are not familiar with the construction of the El Rey model, here is a great El Rey info video by Jeff Hale...

The pickguard is not standard on the El Reys... if you look at my avatar, you'll see I don't have one installed on mine. I think the standard pickguard from Eastman is a $60 option.

As Steve Z said, the knock against these guitars is that they are neck heavy. I've found this to be an issue only when playing standing with the guitar on a strap. Sitting down, I find the guitar nicely balanced and comfortable to play.
