I don't know if it's junk or not. I wonder about string spacing on that slim neck

FYI Schecter research had an ES335 style 7 string. I don't know if they still do or if they're are a lot of used ones out there.

I recall a shop run by a guy named Jerry Sims that used to specialize in 7 stringers.

I'd like one too, but can't find one. I tried the Ibanez and Schector and the necks were way too thin for me. Of the two I like the Schector better and price wasn't too bad.

Yeah, the Schecter has been pretty popular as a starter 7 for a long time. They do not make them any longer, but pop up frequently on ebay.

I have also heard good things about Raines guitars. The price is certainly right. Happy hunting.

SevenString.org -- so many shreddy guitars!
Raines guitars -- seems like nearly every model they make comes in a 7-string version, except the Tele-style

There may be a better link than the one i posted. It was just a place to start. The main thing is that Jerry Sims used to have a site that dealt with 7 string issues as well as posting arrangements of 7 string tunes. He used to advertise in JJG. When I have more time I'll look into what happened to his jazzier site

Good evening, NSJ...
My guitars are (mostly...) cheap (ish...), and I don't find them junk, quite the opposite. My Douglas 6-string fretless bass came from Rondo, and is, imho, excellent value, no issues (certainly not at the level that I play..!).
I also have (among others...) a Xaviere tele-type thinline, and a Samick 335-type. They may not compare to the top-of-the-mill makers, but I will never have the budget for those, anyway.
I recommend, from my experience, and for the price. You certainly can't lose much.
Hope this helps...

I have 5 Agiles including a TC 630 Tele. They are definitely not junk guitars, the TC 630 is on par with, some say better than, an MIM Fender Tele.

Agiles are said to be nice.

...I use an Ibanez RG7321, IDK how it might be received but I'm going to start learning jazz on it.
