Default ZT Lunchbox owners, do you know about this boost trick?

Again, all he's doing is plugging his guitar in the normal way, but putting a (dummy) stereo jack in the "AUX IN".

I did not know that. Does this serve any purpose though?

Can I get more volume out of an already very loud box that I wouldn't get just from turning the volume knob?

If not, I prefer knob turning to plugging...hmm, never thought I'd ever have occasion to say that

I would say the Aux In isn't unity gain and is adding a little boost to the pre-amp stage. Same reason some people like Fender amps with reverb the verb circuit adds a little gain to its channel.
