Guitar Foster Basin Street 17" Thinline Archtop

This weekend I traded my old German double bass for a Foster Basin Street Guitar. Apart from the age old problem of some wear on the back from a belt buckle, it plays and sounds lovely.

It now sits beside my Ibanez AK105SM. (It did until the AK105 was sold)

Does anyone else here play a Foster?

Jimmy buillt me a 7 string. Its the St.Charles model, 15'' lower bout.

Jimmy is a real nice guy. I've been knowing him for years. I visit his shop as often as possible. He lives about 2 hours away from me.

If you have any questions about your guitar, feel free to contact him. He'd be more than happy to help you.

Check out his playing on youtube.

YouTube - Foster Guitar - Jimmy Brewer Jazz Blues Guitar

My good friend Jimmy Brewer trying out my Foster. Needless to say he loved it.

I have to say I wanted a spare truss rod cover and he sent one all the way to the UK for free with a CD of his playing...even though I bought the guitar second hand. Great service and my friend has already started saving up for a Foster!

Really good sound! It's clear enough to let the playing come through without any "blur" to it.
