Default What a steal of a deal!

Jazz guitarists in S. Ontario might be interested in a heads up on an amazing amp deal.

The Long & McQuade store here in Stratford has an old Roland Super Cube 100 with a 15" speaker going for sixty dollars. That's right $60.

I checked it out today and it sounds beautifully clean. Cosmetics look good too. Only flaw seemed to be a couple of scratchy gain pots.

It's the silver tolex model.

I'd snap it up myself and resell it for probably four times that, but I have way too many amps in the house at the moment, including a Super Cube 60.

(Full disclosure: I am not a Long & McQuade's employee, but I do teach lessons there as an independent contractor.)

You know I was searching to see if Roland ever made a guitar amp with a 15" speaker and that was the only model I found, and it seems to be hard to find, to boot. Love them big speakers -- a steal, for sure.

Damn, I'm a sucker for 15" combos and I'm stuck in the sweltering heat 40 miles north of DC. Oh well.

I would say road trip, but it's also hot and humid in southern Ontario
