Guitar Epiphone ES175 v Peerless Gigmaster Jazz

I am considering an Epiphone ES125 and a Peerless Gigmaster Jazz.
Similar styles different prices.
Opinions would be appreciated.

The Peerless guitars are superior (IMHO) to the current crop of Epiphones, however, the Epi's are still fine for starting out, if you like it.

I owned an Emperor Regent at one time. I ditched it for a Godin Kingpin that was not much more expensive, but a much better guitar (different too, more my aesthetic, so that plays into it...but better sounding, playing, looking, etc IMHO)

The Peerless is a much better guitar, no comparison to the Epi really. You should be comparing the Peerless to a real 175 that's more of a fair comparison.

I just bought a Peerless (Tonemaster) and specifically compared it with a new custom shop GIBSON ES-175. The Peerless was far superior in every respect - quality, playability, and tone. And one-third the price.
