| | Could someone please help clarify the C Major Scale for me? I just started with the Jazz ebook lessons, but im a little confused with what the C Major Scale really is, and where and what should be played. I have been playing guitar for 10 years so It wouldnt take me long to get the hang of it, I just never learned any real theory. Thanks Fellas!

| | Kind of a broad question, really. & your thread is only a few hours old.

| | C major scale - major scale beginning on C. On guitar you can play it lots of different ways, different places.
A major scale starts on the root and then goes up tone, tone, semitone, tone, tone, tone, semitone.
so for C major scale that will be C, D, E, F, G, A, B and C again. Then back down.

| | Do, re, mi, etc. Note the formula: 1/2 between E(3) and F(4), another half-step between B(7) and C (1 or 8). |

Learn the Major Scale modes and organise them on your fretboard.
