Default Using the Major 13 Chord for Study?

Since the Major 13 Chord contains all seven notes of a major scale.. are there ways to incorporate major 13 chords for study? Seems logical to play major 13 arpeggios through the tonic of every key if you are memorizing all the notes in all the keys? Has to be some other nuggets of knowledge in this also?

Key of C: C, E, G, B, D, F, A

Key of G: G, B, D, F#, A, C, E

Key of D: D, F#, A, C#, E, G, B

Key of A: A, C#, E, G#, B, D, F#

Key of E: E, G#, B, D#, F#, A, C#

Key of B: B, D#, F#, A#, C#, E, G#

Key of Gb: Gb, Bb, Db, F, Ab, Cb, Eb

Key of Db : Db, F, Ab, C, Eb, Gb, Bb

Key of Ab: Ab, C, Eb, G, Bb, Db, F

Key of Eb: Eb, G, Bb, D, F, Ab, C

Key of Bb: Bb, D, F, A, C, Eb, G

Key of F : F, A, C, E, G, Bb, D

You're going to want to handle that F natural with care over a C major chord. You can raise it to F# to avoid that problem. But you can make the F work if your line is strong or if you play that note on a weak beat.

Have you tried practising 13th arps on each degree of the scale? Great ear training! You'll really learn the sound of Ionian; Dorian; Phrygian; Lydian; Mixolydian; Aeolian; Locrian. Great for learning the extensions.

Sure. I recommend you get the diatonic pitches down first. Then the alterations will be easier to learn. Start with C Major. Make sure to go ascending + descending. (Name each note as you play it; even better to sing it.)

R;3;5;7;9;11;13

CEGBDFA - ionian
DFACEGB - dorian
EGBDFAC - phrygian
FACEGBD - lydian
GBDFACE - mixolydian
ACEGBDF - aeolian
BDFACEG - locrian

Try embellishing around the notes in the arps. The great thing about doing this is you come up with material that works against any chord in a given key. The "avoid" notes are danced around (as well as played) in a way that (hopefully) works. Try encircling, approaches etc...
