Default Best no nonsense Beginning Guitar Course?

Are there any Videos or online guitar courses for absolute beginners on to intermediate players in the teaching style of Bruno and or Robert Conti?

Are these trick questions?

Absolute guitar beginners should not start with jazz guitar period in my opinion.

For intermediate players just sign up with Jimmy Bruno.

Go to the source.

I should have added "for rock or acoustic music" I have a friend who wants to start. and since you guys are familiar with the conti, bruno stuff already I figured someone may have seen a similar course or video but applied to a beginner in a rock or acoustic way. a lot of those beginner videos are confusing and I would imagine there is someone out there that is known for doing no nonsense videos for the beginners.

Never heard of this resource, got a couple years of accoustic experience and now really started to get interested in Jazz. So might try this one.

Justin has very little on jazz. He has good blues and rock sections. He is very good for beginners, which is what the original question was about. He is also free .

If you can already play, want to learn the fretboard and reading from music, Leavitt is good.

+1. Good stuff for beginners. Plenty of videos. Most of it's free. One of the best on the web in terms of organization of content.

I've been using justinguitar's resources for a couple years now - mostly for his blues stuff. However, being new to jazz guitar, I did take a spin through his lessons on arps and modes and found them helpful. In fact, after three weeks of reviewing a variety of resources online, it was his lesson on modes that finally made it click for me.

I also purchased the Fareed Haque Survival Guide on comping from TrueFire and learned tons. I also bought Frank Vignola's 50 Jazz Guitar Licks You Must Know from TrueFire, but I haven't had a chance to work on it. All reasonably priced (IMH) and packed full of resources.
