Default Gig Journals

For those of you who are starting out playing jazz gigs in bars and restaurants -- or are thinking about starting out playing jazz gigs in bars and restaurants -- I want to make you aware of my Gig Journals. I post my notes on various gigs, and in many posts I include photos and sound clips, in order to share my experiences in hopes that some aspiring jazz guitarists will find these notes instructive.

beware XP users, the apple add-ons on the gig pages may lock you up.

Default Browser audio players

The widget I embed in the page tries to load the audio player on your computer, so if you don't have RealPlayer or QuickTime or some audio player configured for your browser, I guess that could cause a lockup.

I run XP and, of course, I write and view the pages on my computer and they use RealPlayer in Internet Expolorer and QuickTime in Firefox, and they work fine on my computer.

I'd like to hear from other users whether they've had trouble with these pages or not. I wrote them with the playback widgets to make it easier for the user, but if these are causing a lot of people problems, I'll need to go back to just links to the MP3 files.

Default Frogstory

Hiya Steve, I went to your website to check out your gig journal. It is a great idea and I thoroughly enjoyed listening to some of your live recorded music. IE, I found a very professional musician (you) playing some of my favorite standards. I will be back often to listen to more of your music.
