I can suggest the formerly JBGI - Jimmy Bruno Guitar Institute. It's closed now, but Jimmy is building up a new school on jimmybruno.com.

Jimmy Bruno is relocating his school to www.jimmybruno.com . Truefire TrueFire - Guitar Lessons - Learn How to Play Guitar Online has everything guitar related and some real good Jazz courses by Mimi Fox and others. Mike's Master Classes Mike's Master Classes - Home has many Jazz lessons at all levels and various teachers.

As mentioned Truefire has excellent online courses (which can be downloaded too): from beginners ( Bruce Arnold ) to intermediate (Mimi Fox, Frank Vignola, Robert Conti, Howard Morgen, Mark Stefani) to advanced ( John Stowell, Andreas Oberg ). New online courses will include Chuck Anderson.

Last but not least here you have specific lessons (not expensive) by lots of people: Joe Pass, Jim Hall, George Benson, Tal Farlow, Wolf Marshall, Sid Jacobs, Greg Koch, Tuck Andress, Troy Stetina, Tom Kolb etc.which are downloadable.

Another vote for Jimmy Bruno, you'll have to wait a bit before he starts his new school.

Default Guitar Course

I've had a great experience with Mark Stefani's "Lessons By Mail" program at visionmusic.com. I'm in the "Swing Blues: The Doorway to Jazz" wing of the course, and have found Mark to be an excellent, accessible teacher who has much to share. He has some videos on YouTube, under the title of "Sound Thinking." His Truefire stuff is very good as well.

Regards,
Jeff
