 Learning to read I have fortunately started learning to play late in life, better late that never. While I am at the stage where almost everthing is new, puzzling and exciting, I find more and more that not being a reader is a problem, or at least a hinderance for me. Does anyone have suggestions of books that will help in the first basic steps to reading? Thanks, 0zoro     |

 I'd recommend the book: A Modern Method for Guitar, by William G.Leavitt, Volume 1 (to 3). William G. Leavitt was a lecturer at Berklee. The book contains only notes and starts at level zero but gets more difficult every page. The book is more classical influenced but you'll also learn the Jazz chords at the end of book 1. I think in book 2 you're going to learn (right word?) improvisation. I'm not quite sure. The book is pretty nice and available with CD- which I think is a pretty cool thing.
