Get a Real Book, or you'll be posting here looking for tunes every couple of days. It's a must have.

Bullfrog are you asking for a copy of the sheet music, or a recording? Either way, they are copyrighted, and it is illegal to just give them to you. You might try an online source. Here's one. Good luck

Hey Jeff! What Real Book would you recommend? This is something I've been looking into as well. There are a lot of options. Original keys would be nice. They're not cheap so I'd rather not buy a few and see what I like.
BTW, I took your advice on the other books and I'm waiting on a couple in the mail any day. Those were pretty cheap, unlike Real Books.

The Legal "Real Book" sixth edition is the best legal one going, IMHO. You'll never stop at one, though, but that's a damn good place to start.

As for original keys, that doesn't mean much in jazz, especially with the songs that entered the jazz canon via stage and screen...

Yeah, I figured as much. I guess I just figured that if there's going to be transposing either way, might as well have the original starting point. Not a big deal, though. Thanks for the info...this as well as the previous.
