Default Working on a cruise ship

Hi Guys

I am contemplating whether to audition to work on the cruise ships and was wondering if any guitar players out there could shed a little light on what its like? I would sam that I am a competent player the only weakness being my sight reading. I am fine with reading chord charts but single note lines etc is what worries me the most! Are the charts likely to be quite scary or just the average chart from a real book or something? I would love as much info on this as possible because I cant find any help anywhere online! Thanks

See this thread. There is a pretty hilarious article linked in there that you should read.

It requires about the same amount of reading skill as being a pit guitarist. If they give it to you, you gotta be able to read it.
