Default Check out this girls CM on a uke

What do you think of this?

Did you know if you use a low G set of strings (low string on 4th string) a uke is then tuned and played just like a guitar with four strings starting at the 5th fret. Get your uke on...

Default Now THAT's a Uke!

Koa, yes? Fine electronics too. Not like the one I bought years ago so I could accompany a certain primadonna on "Raindrops...". And she gets a pristine tone from it; interesting voicings too...maybe a bit edgy on the transition, but it works. Great clip - thanks for posting it!

Nice. Looks like a baritone uke, which is tuned like a guitar. I started a young girl out like that once, because her hands were too small for the regular guitar her dad had, and they were Hawaiian, so they loved the uke. Thanks for posting the clip. This guy isn't too bad either.

I love both those videos. Those are definitely bari ukes. I spent 5 years in Hawaii and had a good exposure to the uke. Played right, it's a beautiful sounding instrument. My favorite is the bari because it has a nice rich almost harplike tone.
