Default Some 'aha' moments...

Just sitting here by ye olde mac, enjoying a rainy evening after a rainy day, might even be a tune in that feeling somewhere...
Spent most of the day practicing time, beats & rhythm. It was a nice enough day, I'd say. Later - closer to the time people, those who are lucky enough not to be looking for a job - when most people sit and rest after a nice dinner rounding off what may or may not have been a prosperous day at the office, or wherever they spend their days, I sat resting from another tough cup of java black. In doing so I turned of the metronome for the day, said to myself: 'I figure some noodling might be ok now, to rest a weary mind'. Said and done, I sat myself down on the bed, guitar in lap, took a nice M7, followed up by a m7, then on to a m7b5, going inevitably down to a 7. Nice. Following that up by some arps, leading it into diminished regions. Moving by 2's and m3rds, just sniffin' it out, like a dog looking for goodies. Suddenly I found some inspiring lines in the turmoil, found that a lot of it came together sounding like the gypsy licks I heard on Gustav Lundgren's site. And also like things I've heard on lots of other sites, gypsy and non so, strange.
Just shows what a few days of metronoming can do. Odd but true.
Peace
Skei (the listening to each drop of rain one)

Good stuff. Explorations on a rainy day. Nice title for a recording perhaps.
