carpal tunnel?

I've recently been experiencing weird nerve pains in my left arm (I'm a right-handed guitar player). I spend a lot of my free time playing and practicing and am wondering if I'm practicing too much or if something may be wrong with my technique.

Anybody else have similar experiences? What were your symptoms? How did it limit your playing? What did you do about it? Please share.

I think the best advice would be to consult a doctor, and describe your symptoms. The way others perceive things, and any treatment, will very likely be quite different. I don't recognise the 'classic' carpal tunnel from your description (doesn't mean that it's not, though...), and serious damage could result from a wrong, or late, diagnostic.
It may well be that your technique needs looking at, and a decent teacher should be able to help with that, but medical problems need looking at by a medically competent authority, not fellow forum members, however well intentioned.
