Default 7 string baritone is messing with my head....

A friend loaned me his 7 string acoustic baritone guitar. This thing is really messing with my head. Making a simple open G chord proves challenging. How long did it take you guys who play 7 string guitars to get comfortable with it?

I'm not that good with my 7 string, but when I first got one, I played it for about 2 weeks. I played a bunch of chords slowly, and the hardest part for gripping the chords was the top string throwing me off, thinking it was the 6th string.

After about 2 weeks, I put the guitar down and went back to my 6 string. Then that felt weird. I kept reaching for the 7th string. So, I went back to the 7 string and then it felt more comfortable.

Once you get used to hearing that low note, its hard to go back to 6 string, expecially if you like chord melody.
