 Looping sections of MP3 for solo act I play jazz guitar to backing tracks and am wondering if anyone knows how to take a section of a pre-recorded backing track, assign a start and stop point and let that section loop until you wanted to get out of it. I would like to use a footswitch to trigger the loop section. Is there a software/hardware combination that will allow this? Steve stegre@aol.com     |

| Yes, you can do that with a looper. I can only speak for my looper which is a JamMan Stereo, but I imagine other loopers do the same thing. There is a stereo 1/8th" auxiliary input that you can record loops from. You just plug an mp3 player into it and press record and stop record at the appropriate times and you have a loop of a section of the mp3. For a tune, you could make one loop of the 1st part of the mp3. Make a second loop of the section you want to jam over. Make a third loop of the ending section.
