Default eco-funk, anyone? oh yeah, & Mike Walker too!

Received this email from Scottish saxophonist, Phil Bancroft. Hope you enjoy it — the music starts a minute in and, sorry guys, but some of you might not understand Phil's accent.

Delve into the Manchester Jazz Festival website Manchester Jazz Festival » Amazing performance from Phil and you'll find a video of a collaboration between Mike Walker (who he? ) and the band playing at — the Manchester Jazz Festival. Mike playing in his sitting room linked to the band playing at the RNCM via skype and a video cam. Crap really, but hey — saves on expenses!

Hello Earth-Dwellers,

"Imagine you have to uproot your family and move to another planet on a dodgy second-hand spaceship........"

This new video features a great eco-funk track- 'It's Too Late, Now So Party On'- and a message from the future by Scottish Saxophonist,
Phil Bancroft- and his Small As The World band with a hilarious yet powerful animation.

Please take a look, and if you like it- forward on to anyone you think would like to see it.

Default ...and thanks for all the fish...

Good evening, musicalbodger...

Excellent, thanks for posting; very nice 'small as the world' website, with some remarkable ideas. This (the spaceship...) has been done before, on a greater scale, with Jefferson Starship's 'Blows against the Empire'. Great stuff, with an enormous Jack Casady on bass, and guesting Jerry Garcia (no less...), among others. We knew even then that it was too late (a CSN & Y title comes to mind: 'It's been a long time coming; gonna be a long time gone'...).
Never mind; party on...
